Welcome to HAD (Hertfordshire
Action on Disability)
The place of the father in the modern suburban family is a very small one, particularly if he plays golf - Bertrand Russell.
HAD has been delivering innovative affordable, practical services to disabled people since 1958.
Our services (listed on the right) are becoming increasingly important and popular to a wider range of disabled and older people, not only in Hertfordshire, but further afield too.
And with people living longer - a recent survey puts the average life expectancy in our area at 81 years - HAD must and will continue to grow.
In our Chief Executive's first blog Annabelle Waterfield predicted an upturn in business following George Osborne's emergency budget. Well her prediction has already come true! To read her latest blog, click here
An up-dated version of our ‘Helping Hand’ leaflet has recently been produced. The 8-page publication highlights all our key services. To read more click here

INFORMATION DIRECTORY
One of our lesser known but neverthless important services is our information directory. This lists many of the organisations we have formed partnerships with and are happy to recommend to our customers. We are constantly up-dating the directory, so if you think we have missed or forgotten an organisation please tell DANIELLA INGHAM or BRETT WATERMAN on 01707 324581.
