A little sunshine and a lot of chocolate made sure HAD's Easter egg hunt was a big success.
Our sixth annual egg hunt and raffle, held on Easter Monday, attracted 350 people and raised a record-breaking £1200.
Youngsters played in the magnificent 13 Lemsford Village garden of HAD Director Edna Stephens, tracking down a host of clues and claiming a chocolate egg each. And parents took part in a raffle and tombola as well as enjoying a fantastic array of cakes, tea and refreshments, marshalled by Margaret McCreadie.
Winner of the raffle was Janice Stack from Boreham Wood with Michael Hardy of Campion Road, Hatfield claiming second prize. They won hampers full of chocolate goodies.
Both Janice and Michael were first-time visitors to the event but vowed to return next year.
'We had a great time and really enjoyed the fantastic garden,' explained Michael, who picked up his prize together with grandchildren Myah and Kai Richards.
Other raffle winners were: Stephen Hardy-Butt, Shirley Parry, Chloe Payne, Matthew Smith, Steve Wilson and Stephanie Squires.
